Sublimation printing is done with special sublimation paper and ink that allows for an unlimited amount of bright colors! Graphics are transferred onto the blank clothing through the use of heat which reacts with the sublimation ink and is permanently imprinted into the fabric. Sublimation is also different from silk screening in that there is no texture left behind from the printing process. Our Laughing Giraffe 100% polyester baby products and infant cotton-polyester blends are specifically designed to allow for vibrant sublimation printing. The garments are soft, comfortable, and the printing is completely safe for infants.
Benefits of Sublimation Printing:
When you decide to do sublimation printing on our newborn blanks, there are certain advantages to printing in this way: lower minimum orders, unlimited color selection without extra charge per color, and colorful prints that are very resilient and bright.

Some Sublimation Tips:
Baby Garment Fabric
For the brightest sublimation, we have 100% Polyester, 5.3 oz/sq.yd Interlock Knit.
For bright sublimation, use soft 65% Polyester / 35% Cotton Blends with 5.3 oz/sq.yd Interlock Knit.
Only use infant clothing containing polyester material for sublimation printing.
Infant Blanks Color
The
opacity of sublimation printing is lesser than that of silk screening, so it is
recommended on white and light products (such as pastels)
only.
Upside
*Unlimited colors, and art does not have to be vectorized.
*Printing that is embedded into the garment fabric and is exceptionally long-lasting.
*No limit to dimensions, design can cover the whole clothing area.
Downside
*Cannot be printed on 100% cotton, but can still be printed on soft polyester and poly blends.
